what wheels did you get and what is the disk size? who did get them from? did you get your wheels to clear a bbk or brembos?

You are forgetting that the stock front size is 225/40/19 and is ~1" shorter than the rear, thats what I mean by height stagger. Doing so will also cause the car to lose some of its raked stance and actually raise the front of the ~1/2". To me, this looks retarded, of course that is my opinion, but the FACT is that 245/35/20 and 255/35/20 do NOT come close to matching the OEM front tire diameter.

i know people that put a 225 on an 11 now that is rediculous.
Again, how can my opinion be right or wrong? IMO, 275 looks rediculous on a 10.5" wheel, it only gets worse on an 11" wheel. I personally would run no narrower than a 295/305 on an 11" wheel, I hate stretched tires.

i'm getting Work Varianza T1S 20x9.5+15 R-disk 20x11+25 O-disk from Rick@status, i think it should fit oem brembo with no problem even though i don't have brembos.

oh btw, i have an 04, so the oem size is 225/45/18 and 245/45/18.

yes that is brembo fitment.
r disk has and extra 25mm to allow for bigger brakes.
mine are a disks which are +8mm to clear the stock brakes, but will not clear brembos or a bbk.

my rears are o disk just like yours, which means oem. the are mean +25mm extra from oem, and a is +8mm extra from oem

that may be true, but he will still have a raked stance from his springs.

but the FACT is that 245/35/20 and 255/35/20 do NOT come close to matching the OEM front tire diameter.
that is also true, but as long as his rear tire is roughly the same amount taller then the stock rear tire is, then he will not loose anything.

the point is if you dont want rubbing issues go with a 245/35/20 front and 275/35/20 rear.
take it from someone that has experiance with and 11" wheel width and a more aggressive offset. my 285s barely rub as it is but im running -4 degrees of camber. next set im goin withthe 245 275 combo to lower the car somemore.

here is a comparison of the 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 vs the 245/35/20 and 275/35/20

225 245

245 275

as you can see the difference in the diameter differences is roughly the same and is very negligable.
the 245 275 combo actually has a taller difference than the 225 245 combo, and will thus put the rake look back into the car!!

The same can be said about a 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 combo, only as a bonus you get to keep the diameters the same as stock so you don't affect your speedometer. Also, the 245/35/20 and 275/35/20 is going to be heavier and also decrease your acceleration because it is almost an inch taller than stock, thus changing your effective final gear ratio. Why anyone would do this when 245/30/20 and 275/30/20 sized tires are plentiful is puzzling to me, especially for someone who prides himself on being "dumped". There are no advantages to running a 35 series tire on a 20" wheel other than rim protection, and if that is so much of a concern, maybe you should reconsider rolling on 20's

that fact will be debatable.

here is a comparison of the two

the 275 is taller but it isnt as wide, so it will be more stretched than the 285. when you stretch a tire the side wall will get shorter. now whether 1 cm smaller width will make a tire shrink down 2cm's,i dont know havent tried it yet.

i dont know
this is only my first set of 20" tires. all of my other ones have been 19s and have been 245 35 19 275 35 19. now when i get another set or 20" tires, i will have to look into them.

and advantage to a 35 over a 30 is that it will hold more air and will improve ride quality, as well as protect the wheel more which you stated.

never said i pride myself on my car being dumped, was just stating it. personally it doesnt matter to me what you think. i had to raise my car 3" in order to clear my new wheels, no big deal. car just doesnt sit 2" off the ground anymore, and is easier to drive around town

Just roll the fender and you won't have to worry. Mark350GT is running 20x9.5 and 20x11 with +15 front and rear with a roll, and fitment is really good.

i installed the wheels today, i ended up with going 245/35 and 285/30. Bad news is, i had really bad rubbing issue at the rear. It was only 1 person and 2 oem 18" wheels inside the car [on the way back from tire shop], i had very bad rubbing issue on the rear when i'm cornering w/ only 15mph. Is it normal or something wrong with my alignment?
