The competition series are cool, you'd probably find this the least common series out there of the HREs. They use titanium fasteners on those.

Thanks man.

I haven't seen the competition series on many cars, when I do it's usually corvettes and other fast cars. One of the cool things about HREs are they are centerbored to your application so no hub adapters needed.

Wheel selection now a days is crazy!

Ack, I'm afraid to ask how much they cost. If Volks and Works cost a lot, these are in a different price league. HREs seems to be common on BMWs based on their popularity on those forums. They look great on the M3s. I've only seen a few Gs on the forums with HREs.

^I'd buy whatever you think looks best regardless of who has them or how mainstream they are. If you always want to be exclusive, you're in for an endless cycle. There's nothing stopping the next guy from buying "your wheels" and making you just another average owner. Buy something that in your opinion looks good on your car. I look down on those that just want to be different and get something whacked for the sake of being exclusive. If that's the case, you can go to your corner and have your cake. That's not to say these HREs look whacked, they look great but again, I've never seen it on a G so it's hard to make final judgments. If you think these wheels compliment your ride, I say go for it but don't do it just for the sole sake of being exclusive.

You sound like me. I really wanted some Volk SF-Challenges back in the day, but there were 4 Gs with them at the first G35 meet I went to. I kept saying I couldn't imagine dropping that much money on some wheels. Then I ended up going with DPE.

The finish shown on the HRE site is the signature finish for the competition series. They can be in any color you want, if you look at all the different series they have certain design differences among them. From rivet placement to articulation to the face.

Hit up Chris at F1, he's good with offsets and is a HRE dealer.
