Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

Hey dont forget about the cleaning of the BREMBOS when choosing a spoke pattern. At least that was part of my decision making process, Also the 20's make it eaiser to get in there just that much more. Of course this is the first car that I have had to worry about cleaning my calipers but i'm not complaining by any means!

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

i would go with the 20's, they look perfect on the G. 19's with low profile tires look a bit too small in my opinion.

Chad

I would have to agree and disagree with chad's comment. Although I feel that 20s look the best on a coupe due to the large wheel wells, 19s without a huge lip would look just as good. The huge lip type wheels make the overall wheel look smaller in certain angles. If your going with 20s, the iforged's look perfect on the coupe. One good thing about the spoke design is that I can clean the inside of the wheel as well as the brembo calipers.

I get mixed feelings from people, sometimes I get "nice those are 20's right" and others I get "what are those 19's?" So basically 19's 20's they all look good.

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

many people have thought my wheels are 19's, and are surprised to hear that they are 20's. the G eats 20's.

i have the mesh, so it is a bit hard to clean the inside of the barrel (behind the face), but i can still clean the brembo's quite easily. i do have hawk pads, so the brake dust is almost negligible. the key to wheels for this car is the lip. when people walk up and see the lip, i don't really think it matters what the face looks like...a 3.5" lip is just impressive. i have gotten so many compliments on my wheels (to my surprise, because many people don't like mesh, and many others don't like dark wheels...but they are wrong) from guys and girls alike. having a gunmetal face certainly hides the dirt as well.

if you get 19's, i would venture to guess that you will be looking for 20's later on down the line.

i only got 20's because it is the right thing to do...and i'm always right. ask bkchang....(clearcoat).

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

like a always say, you have to go 20's on the G unless your going to lower it. 19's get swallowed by the wheel wells.

I'm lowering my car when I get the TEIN suspension. Do you think 19's are too big and I should get 18's?

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

20's will hurt the performance of my car. Too much rotational mass... don't you agree?

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

I've got 20's and as far as performance is concerned I think the only place that I am gonna tell if it hurts is if I take the car back to the track. Other than that the trusty old butt dyno says 20's are fine. So basically if you spen your weekends at the track get 19's but if not go 20's I wouldn't go for 18's again though.

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

GforceI, Try putting your stock wheels back on. You'll feel a huge difference. When I had my friends stock 18s on, I couldn't believe how much more peppy my coupe felt. I'm going to save some money and buy my coupe wheels back, just waiting for people to start selling them at $500.

Malx,
If you're considering iforged wheels, Get 20s. iforged wheels aren't light, mind as well go all out and look good.
If you're worried about performance get 18 or 19in volks.

Re: iForged wheels.. which ones?

Yeah I probably would feel it if I put the old ones back on but hey If I really want to get into the speed factor then you will see drag radials on the stock rims....Other than that the look and feel of 20's is perfect for the street.
