I tried doing a search here, but I don't think anyone has mentioned these wheels here on these forums. I'm looking into these wheels for my black G35x (sedan). I would go 20x8.5 chrome, but anything that size would be extremely heavy and weigh down the car, that's besides the fact that I would have to keep 'em clean all the time...

The 19x8 Tork Imagine's come in glossy black with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 40mm offset, and a 2" chrome lip. The one particular thing I like about these wheels is that they're fairly light at about 25 lbs a piece and they don't have those screws [design] going around the rim...

I'm going to post a few links to get an idea of what these rims look like, I would appreciate some honest opinions on these:

I remember reading something about tire pressure sensors and center hub rings... Dunno if the TPS was put in all the G35's...

 

I had these on my eclipse and i just sold them, I'm actually planning on getting them again for the G tjis summer

 

How do you think it'll work out with the tire pressure sensor, which I believe is standard in all G35's, but not 100% sure...

 

I have an 03 coupe with no tps

 

Mine is an '04 G35x, how would I figure out if I've got the TPS or not? I just assumed it has it...

 

All 2004 G35 models will have TPS.

 

How would I get it to work with the rims I mentioned above?

I'm looking to go with either 235/40/19 tires or 245/35/19 tires...

 

The TPMS sensor is part of the valve stem. You just have them remove it and put it in the new wheel. After that you might need it calibrated, but I am not sure.

 

Wouldn't it be better to get 4 new ones for the new wheels... I don't wanna have to keep unmounting my wheels for the TPMS because the after market wheels will only be used during the summer and then back to stock ones for the winter.

 

The TPMS system and only store 4 sensors at a time, so having 8 sensors would mean you have to have the dealer reprogram them every time you switch wheels. Its a better idea to just keep them on the wheels you have installed for most of the year(summers)

 

Is that what most members here do, just deal with the TPS light being on in the dash? I mean I'm only gunna keep the rims on until about October-November, so I wouldn't mind the light being on.

I went to my local Wheels & Tire shop, and the wheel specialist there told me I could use four new TPMS with my new wheel setup and the car will pick up these new TPMS's all on its own... And I could go back to using my stock wheels in the winter and it will pick those up automatically as well... Is this guy b*ll****ting me? Although, he did promise that would be the case.

I just don't want to pay for four new TPMS's and then they don't work cuz they have to be programmed. And then I don't want to have to reprogram my stock ones when I put those back on in the winter...

What do you guys think, is he correct?
