prevent scratches on mounting new tires

are ya'll able to get your tires replaced without getting any scratches or rashes on it from when they remove the old tire and put on the new one? last time i saw discount tires scratchin up the edges when mounting. i want to be prepared when i go for new tires on my wheels.

Sears scratched mine. Luckily i saw the scracthed rear wheel before i drove off. Manager agreed to pay for repairs, and if it could not be repaired will pay for a new wheel. In the end, they paid for repair & full detailing. My suggesstion is go to a good shop/dealer... who ever is writing you up tell them you dont want the wheels scrached up and they can put a special note for the tech to be careful. Of course, its techs decision how he treats your wheels in the end.

bring it to reputable shop where they actually care about your wheels when they are working on it. Yes it's possible to not make a scratches when replacing tires.
