New Tires? Eagle F1 GS-D3

I am currently looking for a new set of tires and like everything I see about the Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires, except not sure what size to get. I want to stay with the stock 18" rims and Tire Rack recommends putting on the 245/40-18 on the front and the 245/45-18 on the back. They say that everything will work fine with only a slight change in handling. Any advice, (without having to change the 18" rims)?

Re: New Tires? Eagle F1 GS-D3

I have the GS-D3's on the rear of my car. I recently installed them. I had to replace my rear Kumo MX's which vaporized during cool weather, sleathering all the way, great when it's warm, just sad below 50 degree's. Anyway's back to the GS-D3's. I'm torn with them. I can now, finally hook up taking off's anywhere up to full throttle. BUT!, anything close to the adheasion limit and the dang things squeal. Go around a corner say 80% of the limit and higher and they squeal, do a aggresive takeoff, they squeal. At least they do grip well, but the squealling is really annoying and it's not just on certain types of pavement. When I have to replace the front MX's, I may go with the S-03's.
