Offsets....Volks/Works?

I've done a search and couldn't find a definitive answer on offsets. What's
a normal offset for Volks/Works wheels or should I ask what is the maximum
offset without running stretched tires (hate that) and doing the fender wells?
Found a set of Works with 24 front and 23 back, just looking at the wheels
they seemed extremely offset. Any ideas.... ?

9.5/10.5 +24/23 isnt aggressive Gary. Calvins wheels are +24 all around and he has room to spare.

Gary, as Grant said, my wheels are 9.5/10.5 +24. I am currently running 285/35 T1R's in the rear, -1.5 camber, and have my Tein Basics dropped to the max. Fenders were cut by F1 to avoid rubbing.

What is your drop like? Camber settings? On stock height and -1 camber, I could have easily gotten away with my 10.5" +24 285/35 setup without modifying the rear fenders.

It should also be noted that wheel brand, for this case, is not a factor. A wheel is either X wide with Y offset, or it is not.

I'm running 9.5 +17 / 10.5 +18 with 5mm spacers front/rear. That means the offsets are now +12 and +13. Runing 245/35 & 275/35 tires. I could go 255/285 if I wanted. Rear fender does have a mild roll, though.

Cal is right about the brand not mattering. Specs are specs. Diameter, width, offset, and which disc or face you get is what determines lip size and fit.

But are your fenders modified (rolled/cut)? What's your camber in the rear like?

You're too fast...lol. I edited and added that as you were posting. Not sure about camber though...not running any camber correction right now. Dropped on Tein Flex to 0 finger gap. Not very scientific in those measurements, sorry...

Hehe, I'm a ninja.

Dropped that low, I'm assuming you're running some nice camber back there. That contributes a lot to clearance.

It does. The relatively narrow 245/275 tires also "help." I could do another 5 up front and another 5-10 out back if I wanted the super aggressive drift/lowrider look...lol.

I'm runnin 20x9.5 front with a +17 front and 20x11 +19 rear and they are pretty aggressive, so depending on the widths and the offsets will determine how aggressive your wheels will be. +23 and +24 are not very aggressive.
