JIC Coilovers

I'm thinking about having a set of JIC coilovers installed. I know somebody has them. Where did you get them? How much did they cost (including freight charges)? Were/Are you happy with the quality of these parts? How's the ride quality? How's the handling? Any other related comments...? Thanks.

Re: JIC Coilovers

Ask mountain, he purchased and installed them on his car a few weeks back. I'm sure he'll tell you how amazing they are. Who wouldn't be after paying so much for them?

It's still a G thang!!

I couldn't find an older post...

Just one yes/no question: Would you recommend them to a friend?

the older post is here: https://g35driver.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=14&Number=21189&page=0&vie w=collapsed&sb=5&part=all&vc=1

Im guessing he WOULD recommend them to a frend becuase he said:
In reply to:

there are also coilovers from www.jic-magic.com

I just got mine and they are sweet. Still tuning and will post when I have more info. Right now the car is so unbelievable I cannot believe everyone is telling me it will get better.

In the other thread..

Re: JIC Coilovers

Can I order them directly through JIC, or would it be better if I ordered through a retailer? Sometimes factories will sell you, but they charge you an arm and a leg. That way, they do not compete with their retailers/dealers on price.

Someone wrote JIC offers different springs for their coilovers. I suppose the different springs are offered in a range of various stiffness. Which ones did you get with your set-up, and how do they compare with the other ones JIC offers? Did you specify those particular springs with your order, or did JIC send you those particular springs by default? If you had to do it all over again, would you still be happy with the springs they sent you with your order, or would you be thinking about softer springs?

Thanks, all.

Re: JIC Coilovers

I did not know I had a choice of springs. Not knowing what the other springs ride like makes it difficult for me to answer your question. I am happy the way it is.

I have a autocross event in 6 weeks and we will see what they can do.

I bought mine from stillen for 1795 plus shipping.

I will post better pics soon....I promise! The car is sooo low I have to drive up a ramp just to get a jack under the car!

Re: JIC Coilovers

pesti....hard to say. The JIC's are not really marked and I have been messing with the amount. All I really check is too make sure the left right is the same and the differance between front and rear. Can someone place the car on level ground and measure from something to the ground in the front and back so I can find out myself. Keep in mind I have the factory full aero kit.

When you change your suspension you will understand. IT is HARD to decipher how low you are going. I am taking the car to a 4 wheel independant scale so I can make sure the car (with me sitting in the drivers seat) is balanced as close to 50/50 as I can get it. I have been waiting on the system to break in before going. I am ready now.

Re: JIC Coilovers

JIC is full of [censored]!!

I was there first with my G35 last May, they said i would be given the exhaust and coilovers for allowing them to do the R&D on my car.

I was given a call two months ago stating the now they were ready, I could come down and they would give me a great deal for the parts. I said, I was told that the parts would be given in exchange for the consideration and useage of my car. They said, they would not be able to do that.

These people are the dregs of the industry. If you loan you vehicle for this type of useage, you are given the developed parts.

Much thanks to Tein )http://www.tein-usa.com) for coming through and knowing that honor (in your word)is the most important thing when it comes to consideration.....

My car happily ride on Tein Flex coilovers, Greddy full exhaust system.....
