Wider tires on 350Z rims?

I just got a nice set of 18" 350Z rims for my G35 and need to put good rubber on them. I like the wide track look, will a 245/275 combo on front/rear? I think original tires were 225/45/R18 and 245/45/R18 Potenza's

Wheels are 18x8 front and 18x8.5 rear. This will be daily driver and adult driven. Looking for smooth and quiet tire.

Any suggestions? TIA!

I wouldn't recommend it, the minimum suggested rim width for a 275/40/18 tire is a 9" rim. Wouldn't be to safe... The widest you really should go is 255 on an 8.5" rim. This is the manufactueres suggestion as well.

go 255 in the rear and 245 in the front...

275 and even 265 is too wide and not safe for the rear

265-rear and 245-front is the largest u can go with those rims without worrying about safety issues.

cool - is backspacing on the 350Z 5spoke wheels the same as the OEM 17 G35 wheels?

Also, am running 225/50/R17's now all the way around. So if I do the 245/265 combo, what profile best to run at to preserve ride quality?
