Not at all. Bad information is best corrected and I just hadn't found anthing on 10" wheels actually fitting. I've searched again and now I found some similar references, dunno why I didn't have more luck earlier, I guess I didn't look good enough. Actually, when I posted I was kind of hoping to shake out posts like yours to confirm or correct what I'd found so far. I was posting on the "G35 Wheel fitment Chart" thread about maybe widening my 350z Track edition wheels to 9.5" or 10". If I widen the 8" +30 offset fronts (to fit to the rear) to 9.5" or 10" I think that would give me offsets of +49 or +55 respectively. The outer edge would remain positioned pretty much perfectly, just as it is now, the inner edge would move inward by 1.5-2". I convert that to mm, divide by 2 and add to the original offset to calculate the new offset. For the 10", an offset of +55, it would be 1.5cm closer to the inner wheelwell or more importantly the shock than the 10" +40 offset I see being recommended here. That sounds like a problem, but I can't see how 1.5cm less offset would get past the outer fender unless aggressive camber is used to solve it. Given what I'm thinking about doing, sticking with 9.5" is being more conservative, and a 275 tire will fit it just about as well as it will a 10" wheel. What I'd really like to do is figure this out a bit better and to get comfortable with what's really going on with these size wheels and tires when they are mounted.

so do you think that the 20" set up would stick out further than yours??

mine are +40, so yes, when my car squats it goes right to the lip of the tire and my camber is in spec, if you use coupe 20s and offsets you have to run a serious negative camber, therfore feathering the tires faster and spending more on tires than you would have sedan offset wheels. My rear Falkens are like $250 each

I am running a 20x8.5 +40 with a 10mm and still have room up front.

To the OP, I have had 4 different 20x10 rears on my car in the last 2.5 years. I am shocked you have not seen any of my posts...
