Does anyone know of any good shops in S. Cali where I can get my rims black chromed ?

at Peninsula Infiniti in the Bay Area they had a black/black G with black chrome rims on the showroom floor. It looked sick. Probably look even better with the grille and emblems black chromed, too.

Try looking online for a place that does powdercoating.

 

Let me know if you find somebody that does it?

Black nickel (often called 'black chrome') is not nearly as durable as regular chrome. (In the regular chroming process, chrome is plated OVER nickel. Black nickel is a softer metal and has a much higher risk of peeling if left on its own, even after being clear-coated. If you are at all debating between black chrome and traditional chrome, I'd recommend traditional chrome hands down. If you find someone, please be sure to inquire about WARRANTY. Cost may also be a consideration...black chrome is generally three times as expensive as regular chrome because it is an expensive process to run, it has a high degree of warranty work, and it has to be clear coated.

No, those rims are CHROME, like the description says, triple chrome plated.

I don't know if she does it anymore, but she may be able to point you in the right direction if not, she is a real nice lady. Also, read her site, it contains directions on how to do it yourself i believe.
