Tire monitor

Does anyone know whether the sensor will go out automatidally once I add air to my tire?

I noticed on the way to work yesterday that the indicator on my 2004 was on. When I got to work, the tires all looked fine, and when they cooled down, I used my gauge. The tires were 29/30/30/30, and according to the door decal, they are supposed to be set to 30. The owners manual said it wasn't supposed to go on unless the car gets down to 25.

I am planning to maybe bring all my tires up to 31-32 to see if that turns off the light before I next drive the car.

I thought my gauge was reasonably accurate. It reads lower than another guage I have bought in the past.

Re: Tire monitor

Update. I brought all my tires up to 31 pounds, and the light went out.

So, either my gauge is 5 pounds off, or the sensor is off. I'll ask the dealership when I go in for service.
