Proper offset for 19x8.5 with 235/35/19

Hi, I need some recommendation. I'm going to buy a set of 19" rims, all around non-stagger setup for my 03 sedan. The rims will be in 19x8.5 but I have a choice of +35 or +45 offset. I'm going to use 235/35/19 tires all around. I wonder which offset is better?

I've search this forum and I know the back should be +45 for sure, but then should I use +35 for the front? or what if I buy +45 all around, in case the front is too "inside", I use 3mm spacer or something?

thanks for any input.

Was there a specific reason for choosing a rear tire that's a bit too small? 235-40-19 would be ideal

i got a good deal on 235/35/19 tires. I checked tire size calculator and this work fine for my car (within 3% difference to stock size)

I'm thinking of 245/35/19 as well but I'm already afraid the +45 offset for the front will be too "inside" the wheelwell... hmm...

the picture below, that was myold set of wheels, staggered, the fronts are 19x8.5 +44. didn't look too bad, with a 245/40/19.

If you are going to run a 235-35-19 I would go with a 30-35 offset, actually even with a 245-35-19 but you will have to roll your fenders.

I think I'll order +45 offset rim instead of +35 anyway, at least I can use 3mm/5mm wheel spacer to adjust it if needed, but +35 cannot be fixed if it stick out too far. So now my question is down to 235/35/19 or 245/35/19 tire...

What if I use 245/35/19, 19x8.5, +45 all around, do I need to roll the fender? Any problem here? Will the tire rub?

I'm sure yu will be fine. When InTgr8r had his 04 Sedan he was running 255/40/18 all round on 8.5/18 rims with a 42 offset. He also had a drop.

I am running the M45 sport rims (8.5" by 19" w/ 245 35 19) and they are a +50. I had to add a 5mm spacer to the front just to clear the upper arm. That makes the front a +45 and it's still close. I still have, at least 10-15mm of space left to bring them even close to the fenders. So I would go with the +35, they will look the best and I'll bet that they don't rub, especially with those small tires.

I want to go back with 245 40 19 next time, that puts me with in 1% of stock rolling circumference.

According to my calulations http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp , your speedo will be 2 mph slow, that would drive me nuts.

but if I go with +35, it won't fit the rear?

+35 will fit the rear. People put the OEM coupe 19's on sedans all the time, which are 19x8.5+33. This is with a taller and wider 245/40/19 tire. A 19x8.5+35 with a 235/35/19 will have a less aggressive offset and a narrower tire, so it will sit in more than the coupe 19's in the rear so you will not have any issues.

so I guess the conclusion is.... I'll get 19x8.5, +35, and with 245/35/19 tires....and for sure won't hit the fender!?!

I'm only worry that for +35, I cannot adjust it like the +45 which I can use spacer...

Why not just roll your fender if you are so worried about it. Also what are you lowered on, because once you lower it, your wheel will camber in and it is less likely to rub. But anyways, redlude is right, you will not have any problems.

Will not roll the fender, looking for something that fit right on. The car is not lowered by the way

well thanks for the input everyone!!! I think I'll pick 19x8.5, +35, w/245/35/19 now.

trust me on this one...+35mm offset all around with 245/35/19. you will not rub in stock height or even with 1-1.5 inch drop.

i would go with 245/40/19. if you are not dropped, guaranteed you are not going to rub, even with 1" z springs, you will not rub either.

No rolling of fenders either

Thank you very much for everyone's replies. I just got them installed, 245/35/19 with 19x8.5 all around, they looks awesome. I'm so glad that I listened to you guys and go with +35 instead of +45, now it looks perfect!

thanks again!!! I'll try to post pictures soon.
