All season tires, not for me!

My GF needs some new tires for her Matrix and i really don't have too much experience with just plain ol' all-season tires. Can anyone recomend me some affordable tires Between say $60-90/tire with good tread life and ok performance? THX!

Best bet would be to look at some tirerack website test results

Don't know if they come in the appropriate size, but I'd recommend the Falken Ziex Ze-912 for a relatively inexpensive A/S tire

Really? The tread rating is pretty good. (360 or 480 depending upon the size)

Of course those tests aren't real-world conditions, so who can tell. My mom has them on her CLK and they're great so far. Quiet with good grip. Come winter I'll let you know how they do.

Tirerack is the best source for reviews...

Kumhos are generally one of the best bang for the buck tires out there with good overall results for what they are.

best bang for the buck tire i've ever ran across and used personally... the general exclaim uhp's.. you really can't go wrong with these... look at the tirerack tests and even the customer reviews.. i was very satisfied with them when i had them on my 19's... good traction, decent treadlife (rated at 380), and a nice comfortable quiet ride.. big plus is that it was really affordable

i have 20's now and wanted to try something new and different and to see if i can get even more bang for my buck.. so i went with the yokohama avid w4s' because of the reviews on tirerack and it was a newer tire with a really really good treadwear rating (400) which is what i needed cause i commute now... it was worth a shot cause it was right around the same price range of the generals.. and it was really a toss up for me between the two but i chose the yokos only because i wanted to experiment

i just put them on last week.. and so far so good.. i haven't really pushed them yet so i can't comment on that... but it does ride nice and its very comfortable so far.. so no long term reviews as of yet

Gotta plug Pirelli P6 and Conti ProContacts. I have about 60K experience with both and zero complaints. Low noise, Great wet or dry traction and long mileage.

The only tire I would rate worth the extra $ is Bridgestones RE Pole Position. Look it up, it just might be the best all season tire in existance.
