tire flipping

My rear tires are wearing unevenly and i was wondering if you can flip the tires so the worn side is on the outside (if that makes sense)?

even if they're symmetrical, you can still do a flip by swapping tires between the left wheel and the right wheel.

They have to be symmetrical to do this, isn't that what I stated?

ONLY if they are symmetrical (symmetrical thread)

If they are not then you are a **** out of luck.

oh sorry, i meant regardless if they are asymmetrical, symmetrical, directional, non-directional, etc...you can swap them from the left to the right wheel and still maintain the same directional spin.

Now, flipping directional tires shouldn't be done on the same wheel and axle.

you should not do this with asymmetrical tires, there is a designated outside and inside, and by flipping you can have adverse affects.
