tire NOOB question!!! NEED QUICK RESPONSE, PLEASE!
I just purchased some new tires...
225/40/19 for the front (OEM spec, I believe)
and
255/35/19 for the back... because 245/40/19 were not available anywhere for the tires I wanted. I even called Michellin and they said they weren't making the tire for at least the next 4 weeks, and I had a nail in the back of my OEM tires.
Is this okay? Should I go back and complain?
From my calculations, the back sidewall is .0295 inches smaller than the front sidewall. Is this okay?
Please let me know! I just got these tires on yesterday!
Many, many thanks in advanced!!!!

should i complain? should i request that they change it? or will i be okay for the life of the tires?
i got the 255/35/19 off of recommendation at the guy at the front, since he couldn't find 245/40/19 anywhere else.

Comparing 245/40-19 to 255/35-19:
Comparing 245/40-19 to 255/40-19, as suggested by Don:
255/35-19 are obviously worse fitment than 255/40-19 - 2.7% vs 1.2%. if you have an option of easily change 255/35-19 to 255/40-19, i would do it - with 35s you have less rim protection, your speedometer is more off, and your traction control and antilock brakes may be affected by the discrepancy.
if you already have the tires mounted and on the car, it'll be more difficult for you to change it. pay attention to how your car handles - does the "slip" flash more often than it used to with aggressive driving? does your car become unstable with aggressive braking? - if so, change the rear tires. chances are you'll be fine with 35s, and you can get 40s next time you burn through the rear ones.
btw, these numbers come from http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp
When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 58.4mph (94km/h): 2.7% slower.
Package is 5 mm (0.2'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.
Package will stick out 5 mm (0.2'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.
