Need opinions on mesh style wheels

I've searched exhaustively on G35Driver as well as other web sites and I've determined that I like mesh style wheels the best. I've also determined that while they are unarguably the best, I'm just not willing to shell out for: Work VS-XX, Volk SF Winning, BBS RS-GT, PIAA Sport Mesh/Super Mesh, etc.

Right now I'm looking at mainly 19" wheels. I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to lower the car at all. If I do, it will probably be on Eibach springs, which I think lower the car about an inch. I just don't want to run into issues with rubbing or having to roll the fenders.

I don't race/autox, I'm not hard on my car, we have decent roads around here, weight isn't a huge issue. I'm looking for decent quality, but these are mainly for show.

So, from my searching I have come up with the following contenders. Given my needs/wants what would you all suggest? Also, If you know of any others in the +/- $400 per wheel range please let me know.

TSW Snetterton

5-Zigen Sports Engine SC3000

ADR M-Sport

Axis Penta

HP RACING Lightning EVO

HP RACING Lightning SS

MRR GT1

I have looked at the marketplace. However, I didn't see anything from my "too expensive" list on sale, at least that didn't have any curb rash. Even the used ones are a bit more than I'd like to spend. If I could find the right deal I would consider it though.

So 2 votes for Axis. Is this due to name recognition, higher quality, better aesthetics, etc? I appreciate the feedback.

The only 2 that look good are the 5Zigen and Axis ones. The rest are complete crap in quality and look. I'd def go with 5Zigen for quality.

Hmm, that's interesting, definitely something to consider. However, I think there are a lot of people running Axis wheels on their cars and this is the first time I've read anything bad about them other than the fact that they aren't Work VS-XX. Is that your photo? If so, what kind of driving/road conditions did that happen with?

I found some photos of various cars with the contending wheels mounted on them. From an aesthetic standpoint I like them all, but I think the MRR GT1 and the 5zigen Sports Engine are coming out on top.

MRR GT1 Silver on 08 BMW 5 Series

MRR GT-1 Hypersilver on 00 BMW 5 series

5-Zigen Sports Engine SC3000 350Z

ADR M-Sport G35 (jmonsale's car)

Axis Penta G35 (trm3's car)

Axis Penta on 06 Lexus IS350

HP RACING Lightning SS 1 NSX

5Zigen Sports Engine SC3000 G35 (Gdup35sedan's car)

i'm getting some pentas for myself, i'm not concerned about damage on them because i have really smooth roads around here and if i'm ever going to do anything that i know can damage them( trips to places w/ bad roads, i'll just put my oem ones on, not that hard)

oh and just and FYI the picture of the pentas you posted are not 19's theyre 20's and if you have a sedan, 19's will be fine but you have a coupe the offsets of the 19's are very bad on a coupe and the 20's on a coupe are perfect.

do you have a sedan or a coupe? One thing you may not have considered is some of the horrendous offsets these wheels are offered in.

I don't think you can go far wrong with any of those.
