lowering question

i am a recently new G owner, about a month. i would like to lower my car to make it more aggresive looking, better handling and etc. i did a fair amount of research and am pretty sure i just want to do the eibach pro kit. its looks relatively inexpensive and seems to do the job especially because i only want about an inch drop. however, since the car is my daily driver, i am concerned about the possible depleted ride quality. what are the disadvantages to the eibach, is the ride quality noticeably worse. how much better is the handling, and how much does it cost to get installed and would the dealership do that? thanks for any comments/suggestions

Re: lowering question

I had the same issues as you but made the jump last week. Took the car to a place that does tire/wheel/suspension work for the dealerships where I live. They charged me $250.00 to install and align all 4 wheels. I have the factory Sport Suspension and only changed the springs. Done in about 3 hours. The car sits great now. I'm down just over an inch all the way around. It took up almost all of the space between the tire and fender. The ride is the same on good roads and just a little more harsh on bad roads than before. I've had cars/trucks in the past that were slammed and didn't want that same kind of ride but wanted something a little different. I am very happy with the outcome of this set up. Hope it works as well for you.

Re: lowering question

I'm looking to do the same thing to my G35x. I would like to drop about an inch and I don't know if I should go with the Tein H-Tech or the Eibach Pro Kit. Any suggestions?

If it's a G it's 4 me!

Re: lowering question

No I only had the springs installed. IMO there isn't enough tire 'tilt' to worry about. If you look for it you will see a slight lean but if you aren't looking for it, you won't notice it. I've had that 45 degree squat before and didn't want anything like that this time. I'm getting too old for that and the wife would kill me.
