225/45/18's all around on 18" OEM rims?

Looking at getting some winter tires for my 05 coupe with 18" OEMs and the tire guy is telling me that 225/45/18 blizzaks will work front and rear even with the staggered wheel sizes. Is he full of sh*t? Tough to find winter tires around here in the 225/45/18 (front) and 245/45/18 (rear) sizing.

i thought OEM 18's were all 18x8...you can stagger the tires..like 225 front 245 rear

the wheels are not staggered. I would not recommend running a nonstaggered setup, but if you choose to do so, I would look for a 235/45/18 setup if possible, or a 225/50/18
