Pictures of my G with Chrome Wheels

Well, after waiting almost 4 months to get my G Coupe, I've finally gotten around to posting some pictures. I had originally asked my dealer to chrome the stock performance 18" wheels but when I went to pick up the car, he offered an upgrade to 12 spoke Chrome Detada wheels which I love. Here are the pictures...

Don't mean to be rude, but the profile says IT development Manager. You'd think he will know how to post a picture wouldn't you?

touche! not to be rude either but as a member of this forum, you'd think we would look in his profile for pics.

i probably would have taken those over the stock chromes as well. nice.

hmm looks like they are 1/2" smaller width wise. did they wrap them with the stock rubber?

specs here

Re: Pictures of my G with Chrome Wheels

Thanks for your message and support g4s. Yes, the dealer mounted the stock tires on the new rims. As far as "mamboking" is concerned, I DID attempt to attach the picture but apparently, the text that says the pictures should be under 100k is slightly off. Mine were 94k and they wouldn't post. I'll try again at a lower size....

mambo,
It says IT "Development" Manager. A developer can't do anything without a functional spec .

J/K all (a little IT humor), they look very shiny and bet they look great going down the road with the sun hitting them.....I'm torn with the chrome....they look sooooo good but just can't seem to get over the weight thing.

Re: Pictures of my G with Chrome Wheels

We were just playing with ya.........I saw your pics in your profile....

I like the rims....very similar to the stock 18's........but they look like a PITA to keep clean, especially since your car is auto, and the brake dust is non stop, at least it is for me.........

Did you get any warranty on the wheels since they were a dealer installed option?....
Enjoy!

Re: Pictures of my G with Chrome Wheels

Yea, they are a bit of a pain to keep clean with the brake dust but it's worth it. I've gotten so many compliments on them when driving by people. Because of the multiple spokes and offset lengths, they shine from different angles. The weight doesn't bother me since racing is not one of my priorities. The dealer gave me a 1 year unlimited replacement warranty if there are any defects. I keep them waxed so cleaning them is not so tough.

Re: Pictures of my G with Chrome Wheels

they look nice. not my cup of tea though. if i had chrome, they would have a lip. as far as the tires...i'd stretch them on and have the lip stick out a little. JDM style!
