Widest wheels for the G35 coupe
Widest wheels for the G35 coupe
Sorry if this subject has came up before. I am looking into getting new wheels, now they are 18"s. I want to put 19"s on them with lower profile tires.
Also changing to Bridgestone S-03's maybe. For them specs on the wheels I wonder can 19x8.5 in the fronts and 19x10 in the rears work?
Actually I dont have much knowledge on wheels sizes, so if anyone can help me out, that would be great. Thanks.

Tomii,
Yeah 19x8.5 in Front. Put 245-35-19 And 19x10 in rear will work no problem on a Coupe. 285-35-19's I know someone that is running those sizes on a G-35 Sedan. I was also told by my Friend Earl from PDOParts (Craig Paisleys Shop) That on a Coupe you can fit 19x11's NO PROBLEM. 295-35-19 or 305-35-19 if you can find them. By the way are you selling your stock 18's? I want to get a Coupe 6-MT but..... I am probally going to get a Sedan 6-MT Because of at least $5,000 price difference and 3 Months time wait. But for Now I get to drive my Dad's Sedan, It's lowered 2' and has an Injen CAI......

Re: Widest wheels for the G35 coupe
wow.. 305? haha i never thought about that. Yea, I was thinking if I were to invest on new wheels and tires, the factory 18's will have to go. But I'm also thinking about replacing the brakes too since I want bigger ones for the bigger wheels. But not sure since I dont think I can get another one for the back, Brembos I mean. I might go with Endless though.
The tires, they are already 245 now in the back. Maybe go to like 275 since its gonna be 19x10. Fronts I hear not to put so wide so 19x8.5 is good enough and maybe stay 225 or 235. But I am not sure since I really don't know whats best. Since my coupe is pretty big, even the 18's look small
Im thinking about veilside wheels, since they look the cleanest (for 5 spokes) with deep polished lips. Ohh.. if I get those, it would look like an entirely different car haaha..

Tom,
Get 20s man..... you're gonna have to drop the car w/ 19s for sure. 20's are barely tolerable without a drop. But if you're set on going with 19s, go with:
245/35/19 x 8.5 or 9 (front)
275/35/19 x 10 or 11 (rear)
That should be fine, 225 or 235 is too thin for the front, 245 is perfect w/ giving that chubby tire look. Good luck.

Re: Widest wheels for the G35 coupe
Thanks for the advice.. Would 245 in the front be a bit too wide? That wouldnt add understeer? I never thought about 20's because I never saw any performance car's use 20's other than a ferrari. and that was in the back. But I will look into it if veilside makes it. I am planning on lowering the car with coilovers in the future anyways.. Thanks again for the reply. I will consider.
