idk if this is a stupid question or not but are the tire pressure monitor system really that necessary? I have the OEM 18" rims and im thinkin of getting some volks or for temporary rims i want to get the 19" OEM rays. Would i need to reprogram the rims to my comp or will it be fine?

I dont think TPM's are necessary except for those who really dont keep on their tire pressure periodically. As for me, I check my tire pressure whether I think it may or may not need air at the very least once every 2 weeks.

Heck, if there was a way to disable the TPM's without triggering the light on the dashboard, I would be interested to know. I searched but it appears there isnt.
