TEIN Basics installed!!

Just installed my TEIN Basics today. Really Protocav did all the work with minor help from me, but in the process I learned how to and also realized that I hardly have any tools! The drop is mean and the sedan looks mean. Stuck a couple of TEIN stickers that come with it and already two different people tried to flex on the highway. I will post pictures soon, probably tomorrow. So far, very little difference from stock ride.

Re: TEIN Basics installed!!

OK here are the usual questions......
1. How much was the drop?
2. Did you install camber adjust kits?
3. Did you check alignment?
...
PICs please

inTgr8r,
OK here are the usual questions......
1. How much was the drop? 1 1/4" fr and .08 rear
2. Did you install camber adjust kits? Nope
3. Did you check alignment? Tomorrow will do that, waited until the suspension set a bit
...
PICs please right after this, I will post before and after shots.

Very nice...the drop looks good. Not a fan of the stickers though.

Re: TEIN Basics installed!!

Did you run a dyno session both before and after you put on the stickers so we can see the gain in HP/TQ? :-)

Re: TEIN Basics installed!!

bullseye i will let you know the dyno resutls as soo nas the little green bug-eyed guy decides to give me some damn HP! he may not stay there long then.

Chad, thanks for the correction on the drop, i misinformed the folks here. I am going to take off the front wheel mud flaps, they are rubbing on speed bumps and such.

haha the little tein guy is cool!

he is... 'for your driving pleasure'

now you just need the little tein guy on your keychain... and maybe the tomadachi doll buckled up in the backseat. (j/k... i like the tein guy)

Re: TEIN Basics installed!!

with tein basics u dont need a camber kit right? I talked to my friend whos really into drifiting in his 240 (knows a LOT about suspension) and tryed to explain to me how tein basics adjust on the 240sx... and said they prolly have the same kind of adjustment for the G so that i dont have to worry about not being able to get it to align. i really dont like how ur car looked pre-suspension... and i am thinking that this means i wont like my car either after i get the 19's with really low profile tires. I'm trying to decide between springs and camber kits or tein basics tho>>>

also.... are the basics stiffer in front and rear? the same? stiffer front and not as stiff in rear? what are the spring rates.... i dont want to go down from stock spring rates is why i ask

2004 Black on Black g coupe 6spd.... aluminum pedals, clear corners, z tube, and pop charger. soon to have 19" volk gt-c's and PIAA xtreme whites in the clearance and corners

Re: TEIN Basics installed!!

I gave you a lot of the info your asking for just a few hours ago, can you please go that that post and read it. I don't want to think I spend a lot of time answering for nothing.
