recommendation of tires to get for stock 17"..

I need new tires ASAP! I have the stock Goodyear RS-A and it has no treads left on it. I live in New York and we get a good amount of snow. What tires would you guys recommend?

I prefer dedicated seasonal tires.

In the summer I run Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 225/50s.
In the winter I run Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3 Vs 215/55s.

I've been really pleased with both sets. They perform exactly as I hoped they would.

Nankang M+S for Mud+Snow. decent price and should last you a while depending on how you drive.

Im looking for a high performance all season tire. Don't feel like going thru the hassle of buying new tires during the summer.

Hows the Dunlop SP Sport Signature 215-55-17? It seems to have good reviews on tirerack.com for $116.

Any recommendations for high performance all season tire will be great!

also are there any other site with cheap tires that is trustworthy.

thanks

just a question. Do we have to replace the tpms? or can we just reuse the old one?

Every time I swap my tires over they re-use the same TPMS sensors. They replace the wear items though, for about $4 a wheel I think (I'd have to check an invoice), they call it a TPMS rebuild kit I believe.

Can't help you on the performance all-seasons, sorry.

These are the closest to stock.

215/55-17 = 26.3" diameter, 4.65" sidewall, stock size
225/50-17 = 25.8" diameter, 4.43" sidewall, -3.4% circumference
225/55-17 = 26.7" diameter, 4.87" sidewall, +3.3% circumference
235/50-17 = 26.25" diameter, 4.63" sidewall, -0.4% circumference
245/50-17 = 26.6" diameter, 4.82" sidewall, +2.6% circumference

I would not run 235/55-17's, they're just too big.
235/55-17 = 27.2" diameter, 5.1" sidewall, +6.6% circumference

And you might want to be careful with the 245/50's. The stock wheels are 17x7, and this size tire has a fit range of 7-8.5", so it's going to be a bit stuffed on there. But it should work.
