Z springs on a G coupe?

I had a touring 350Z before I got my G. I still have the oem springs from the z. I don't want to try and afford new springs yet but I was wondering if the z springs would help/lower the g. Anyone know details?

Re: Z springs on a G coupe?

I am pretty sure they are exactly the same. I believe the suspension differences are in the shocks/struts.

DG/G 6MT coupe, Borla exhaust, Stillen intake, Z aluminum pedals, clear corners

I don't know for sure but if you use aftermarket springs made for the Z in a G, you'll get an additional ~.5" of drop. IE: RSR Ti springs for the Z drop that car .6" all around. I put them on my G and got just around ~1" drop. My guess would be that the Z springs will drop the G by ~.5"

OEM Z springs are the same height as the coupe's, but aftermarket Z springs will give you an additional 0.5" to the advertised height like al503 said.

That clears things up. Thanks. I guess there is no cheap route for us coupe owners.
