Anyone have these wheels?

I'd like to get some stock 18's, but it seems everything in the marketplace either has some serious curbage or they're $1000+ for the set, plus shipping. I really don't want to spend much money on wheels, and I don't want the results of someone else's poor driving. I'm looking for wheels that look stock or close to stock and that's about it.

I found this seller/retailer on eBay. http://tinyurl.com/c9kbdd Does anyone have any experience with this company or these wheels? It seems like a pretty good deal. Less than $600 shipped for what appears to be a decent set of OEM-ish wheels.

I also found these on Tirerack. http://tinyurl.com/cbq8ot I'm not sure I like black, but for under $500 shipped, I'll try them and paint 'em if I don't like the color. They'd go with my future plans for painting my grill and headlights black.

Whaddya think?

Damn. I searched northern Michigan craigslist for G35 or 350z and came up with zero listings! I'll keep an eye out for ya.

BTW. If you'd be willing to go with the 350z 18s, your options open up quite a bit. I've seen the blocky spoked type go for $300 or so.

Thanks for looking Jeff. I'll take a look at the Z wheels too. And yes, Michigan is a barren wasteland for G35 and Z parts. There are only 4 dealers in the state, 3 of which are near Detroit. They might sell enough cars to stay in business, but I think the buyers for the most part are not the modding type, so nobody is selling anything. I got my HR Y-Pipe from a Z owner from MI, but that was pure luck. It had been on Craigslist for months. And there's nothing in the junkyards either.

I asked a while ago about those Ebay replicas. They are made by a company called Morxchn which makes a ton of wheels for Corvettes and Mustangs. I asked around on some Mustang boards and the consensus was that they were "okay"

Granted that wasn't conviniced enough to go out and buy a set however.

I'd pay the extra $ for some well made wheels. You'll only regret it in the long run if you had purchased "okay" wheels.

I agree. I've been reading a whole lot over the last few days about aftermarket wheels. Basically, you get what you pay for. Forged are just too expensive, and quality aftermarkets are only slightly less expensive. But it's all good, I'm getting some OEM Coupe 18x8's. I didn't want to go to a 19, so this is perfect.

Thanks everyone.

I like the OEM rims from the 350Z. I bought a set off a 2006 350Z (touring) in mint condition for only $800 on ebay. I also replaced the Z center cap with the factory Infinity one. Because the rears are a half an inch wider than the front I installed 255/45R18 on the rear and kept the front at 225/45R18.

No spacers or any other crap needed, no problems.

Wow. No offense, but that's a pretty high price. There are lots of OEM wheels out there for a lot less than $800. I've got some 18" G35 Coupe wheels on the way. They aren't mint, but they were only half of what you paid.

D'oh! Didn't see that. $800 CDN is about $600 US, which is about the going rate for a good set of OEMs. TheDude, sorry about that. Nice deal.

imo if you don't have the money for wheels don't get wheels and save up so you can do it right and not have to skimp out and go with ****ty wheels

No offense taken, the rims were flawless, in perfect condition. Bought them from a Nissan dealer.

Don't touch the aftermarket copies on ebay, they are junk compared to the OEM.
The only aftermarket rims I would consider using are all forged and unfortunately are also expensive, A good strong after market rim can easily be over $700 a rim.
