For my H-Techs, I paid $100.

However, my teammate is graciously allowing me to ride on the adjustable springs.

The warranty is not voided unless something happens to the car due to your modifying it.
Even then, the dealer must prove that your modification caused the problem.

If you plan on dropping it lower in the future, I would advise saving up for coilovers instead of wasting time with lowering springs.
But that's JMHO.

which one is better from a performance standpoint? springs or coils? i know coils are adjustable and will ride better, but will the springs be better for performance since they will give a stiffer ride?

Coilovers are much better from a performance standpoint (it's expected, since they cost so much more than springs). Coilovers have adjustable dampening, something which adjusts stiffness of the ride. It can be as soft or as stiff as you want it to be. Coilovers are also [I'm sure you know] height-adjustable.

I forgot to mention -- I bought my springs used.

ok, thank you, i didnt realize that coils were dampening adjustable in addition to height adjustable.

cant beat the look of your car for that price, i might look for something like to if its that cheap...

he has used 350z h techs for the front and is borrowing someone elses rear springs, lowered for 100 bucks

eurodre, i like the way yours looks too. im thinking about doing the htechs and prob front and rear camber kits...talk me out of it!

one more question, does either method of lowering change or affect the geometry of the steering at all?

hei thanks, im on coilovers man and its pretty darn low, i know it doesnt look like it because of the spacers but its pretty low, bc racing coilovers, i say just save up take your time search around, i found that function and form coilovers are the best for their price ( i wish i would have gone with those) and then get good camber kits i recommend cusco front and spc rear + toe bolt. I'm all about if you do something do it right, and most of the time you will have to take your time but that only means a bigger reward in the end
