Tire Pressure Question for new tires

Question Tire Pressure Question for new tires
I changed my rear tires to 255/45-18. The stocks were 245/45-18. Should the psi still be at 35? I drive a 6mt 04 coupe. The guy at the shop put 40 psi on them.
