I had the same problem. Get an alignment to get you back into specs. I was at about 2.5 in the rear, factory specs are 1.0 to 2.0.

will this cause my rear tires to wear prematurely?

maybe if you let it go for to long. I just lowered mine on 19's and I need a alignment bad. I have to get a camber kit first tho. Check out my rear camber in this pic. I heard that you should always get a alignment after going up in size in wheels the contact patch is different. (wider)

i just dropped my car on tein s-techs, but i heard most ppl compain about the rear cambering more than the front? how is this possible if the front is dropped lower than the rears? wouldnt the front camber more since its dropped lower?

dsskyline, how low is your drop, and are you on springs or coilovers?

I have a 1.5 drop on Tanabe DF210 springs. I posted early with pics of my drop. If you noticed before you dropped your ride your rears already had a slight negative camber. I think dropping it makes it more negative, you really can't tell the fronts unless you slam it to the ground. Just what I think I could be wrong.

Your tires will definitely wear quicker. Spend $70 or so on the alignment and get as close to -1.0 as you can. Unless you plan on autocrossing. Otherwise you're going to eat up those rear tires fast.

I don't think you need a camber kit with the h-tech springs the drop is less than 1in. If you are getting them soon (within 1 month ) wait until then. You will need to get a alignment again once you change your springs if you get one now.

Re: Negative Camber After Mounting 19s??

Hey, timely thread for me! I just went to 19s and after only a few hunderd miles I can see the contact patch on the rears is definitely biased to the inner part of the tire. It's the same on the fronts. Guess an alignment is in my immediate future. Thanks to all for your comments.
