highway vibration
I've had two sets of tires put on, then they tried a new set of wheels and tires off an '09 G along with an alignment. I'm convinced the vibration has nothing to do with wheels and tires. I'll know if the steering rack fix is the issue in a couple of days.
Use a vibration analyser to view the frequency of the vibrations this will tell you the diameter of the culprit. A 26" tire at a speed has a certain frequency [and harmonics] of vibration. Simple college physics.
You must use software and a frequency analyser that can accurately measure 10HZ to 100 HZ.................most vibrations are 10>30 Hz and in audible by human ears but easy to see on acoustic FFT anaylser.

Just wondering if you ever determined the cause...
I know the techs at the only Infiniti stealership near me don't have either of the instruments above...and they are a ROYAL pain in the *** to deal with...
I am def pos it is not the tires, wheels, or alignment on mine either; however, I am beginning to get the rear axle click and if the axle is loose, that may be the culprit

That's what happened to my wife's 03 V6 accord coupe. Turned out the inner drive shafts are made with really cheap parts and they seem to fail pretty frequently so I ended up getting brand new gator axles.

Wow seriously it was the driveshaft.. Thats what I think is wrong with my car because you can definitely feel it in the shift **** around 60mph deceleration, it feels like the driveshaft is vibrating really bad, I checked my wheel bearings and they are most definitely okay, it doesnt move whatsoever.. my god I have aftermarket warranty will definitely not cover that im sure.. Is that consider as wear and tear or what?? How many miles on your G
Important to exercise u-joints [periodically with a hammer] so that they do not bind up, become notchy and do their job.
Something known to happen to driveshaft since the 1960's. Some last 50k some 150k.
Every wonder why each medium sized city has at least one driveline shop that specializes in rebuilding and rebalancing abused driveshafts.
People who grew up on FWD have no concept of RWD/AWD problems and solutions.
