275 or 285 for GT-S 19x10.5 +28?

I see a lot of people running the 17/18 offset for the volk gt-s on their coupes. But I was curious as to running 17/28 offset? Will it work?

I know the difference in the lip size is 107mm vs 125mm, which isn't too much of a big deal to me by going with the +28 offset for the rear.

But one concern I have is about rubbing issues. I am lowered on tein s-tech with ings+1 all around. Should I go with 275/35/19 or 285/35/19 for the rears considering I am running 19x10.5 +28 offset? I would like to run 275 if possible to prevent from rubbing and having to roll my fenders. Need some of you wheel/offset experts to help me out on this.

will 275 also work with that setup? I know most people get the +18 for the rears but what is the main difference between this +28 and +18 besides 10mm? will the wheels be flushed with the +28 offset for the rears with volk gt-s? im really confused.

i am trying to compare 19x10.5 +18 to 19x10.5 +28. I know the only difference pretty much is a .72inch decrease in lip size by going with the +28 offset. other than that i dont know what else is going to be different. Not sure if the wheel flush would be same as with the +18 setup

would appreciate if someone can clear this up for me.

Why would you go with +28 offset in the rears for the GTS?

I am on the 17/18 offsets with 275 and practically maxed out on my rear coilovers and I stll have room to run 285's with close-to-specs in the camber settings.

And yes, my fenders are rolled. Why don't you want to get your rear fenders rolled?

what's wrong with the +28 offset for the rears? what disadvantages does it have over the +18 offset besides a .72inch decrease in lip size?

They aren't nearly as flush with the fenders as +18. That kills the look of the wheel (imo). It's not just the lip size that differs...

Ideally, I would have loved to have a ~+12 offset on a 10.5 wheel (or 11 inch rear in the teens). But it is what it is.

i just rolled my fenders. very easy. rented machine (you dont even have to rent it search the forum for other devices/techniques but i just rented it anyway) few hours later BOOM! rolled fenders with no cracked paint at all. (easier with 2 people 1 for heat 1 for rolling)
