ok one question for you guys, i have the factory 18's with the michelin sport tires, 245/45/18 i believe, now if i get a lower profile tire, like lets say 40, would the gap between the top of my tire and fender be even bigger if i go down to a lower profile tire or would it fill up the gap even more? please help...

 

The gap will get bigger because the tire is shorter, almost a inch shorter I believe. And, IMO this sorta makes the rim look smaller to.

my friend has 18's on his sedan with eagle 1's (low profile) and sitting next to my oem's with pilot sports, the rims look smaller. He got kinda pissed when i asked if they were 17's and then i realized hat it was tire size that was making me think that. This is why i am getting 19's when i get my new wheels... i realized that they will look the same size as factory with low profile tires, and i like the factory size look. I am also going to get springs or coilovers eventually

If you change to a lower profile tire the gap will get bigger.
