Other than weight and appearance, what makes one wheel worth $150 and another worth $800?

My car is used 80% of the time on the track. Suggestions for wheels appreciated!

Going to 245/40X18 front and 275/40X18 rear so I have to get new wheels.

 

construction quality bro. Also... and i hate to say it since i am going to be getting volks and perpetuating this... but just the brand name stuff. its more in demand than non name brand. Its like a pair of nike shoes.... they cost like what... 130 dollars new now? (i dont buy the newest when i get shoes so i dont relaly know) but then look at some other brands that are just as good of shoes hell maybe even better and more comfortable, but they can only charge 50 because of supply and demand. So basicaly construction has a LOT to do with it... and the fact that my wheels will say VOLK has a little to do with it
