TPMS Question - so sorry!!!

I tried searching for a while, but I'm just not coming up with what I'm looking for.

I'm in the process of getting ready to sell my car (). Last week, I swapped my wheels with a guy who had stock 19's. In my aftermarket wheels, I had installed my TPMS from my stock wheels....I never had any issues with the warning light coming on. The stock wheels that I now have on should have the TPMS in them, but the warning light is on now. I checked the tire pressure at they're all at 32 pounds, so pressure shouldn't be the issues.

Are the TPMS set up for one specific car, or should they work, even though the wheels/tires weren't the ones that originally came on my car?

If I have to have the dealership reset the sensors, is this something they'd charge for? Or would it fall under warranty work since it would appear that they just aren't working?

Will a (non-Infiniti) dealer knock off money on my car if that warning light is always on?

FWIW, I traded wheels last Wednesday, and yesterday was the first time the light came on. After two hours, it was still on....then after 12+ hours, it was still on. I don't think it's just going to turn off by itself. Ugh!

You need to bring the car to an Infiniti dealer and have them reset the sensors to your car. Anytime you change wheels/sensors they need to be reset and that's not a warranty item. It only takes a few minutes so if you're friendly with the dealer they may not charge you.

The sensors need to be registered with your car. I'm pretty sure you will have to take it to the dealer.

There's no easy fix for this issue, take it to the dealership and have them reset. Call Nissan and ask if they can perform this task since they'll charge 50% less than Infiniti.... It's never a good idea to trade a car in with issues no matter how minor!
