I just bought a used G35 coupe and it came with 245/45/R18's on all 4 tires.

I thought that the front two rims were not as wide and needed 225?

Can someone please clarify what size tires can be used without any problems on the front and rear rims?

Also, just to clarify, the rear rims are wider than the front, correct?

 

no the coupes 18s are 18x8 all around, the fronts should be 225/45 from the factory but i see no problem running 245 all the way around

 

Hmm, I never understood this. If the rim width is a certain size, how can you vary the width of the tire?

So I could technically put 225's on all 4 rims?

 

yes you can if you want to but wouldnt you prefer a staggered setup??

 

245/45/18 all round would work. I'd prefer that way, running 245 fronts are more stable than 225 and plus you can rotate. I dont see any points with running stagger set up on 18s stock rims.

 

That's the way it came from the factory and who knows best right?? LOL
