Broken Wheel Lock (HELPPP!)
ok guys, so my dad was wanting to help me the other day put my wheels back on, and when he was tightening the front right wheel, he didnt have the "key" all the way on the wheel lock. and yea, it snapped and part of it cracked off. i was able to get it tightened back all the way as it was not completely destroyed. this was about a month ago.
so now about an hour ago, i was taking off all my wheels, and when i went to loosen this wheel lock, the whole wheel lock thing completely crumbled to pieces. its loose, and now i cant tighten it or loosen it at all to take it off. also the key is damaged now, and i cant tighten my other wheel locks that i already loosened. im f***ed. idk what to do. someone please help.

and i called infiniti, and they said they think they can help, but it could cost up to 200 dollars. also, i will have to buy 4 new lug nuts to replace all the wheel locks, because my key is warped.
i cant believe infiniti would make it so sh*tty that it would crumple instead of just bend or warp or something. im so pissed right now. someone please help me out or share your opinion

If you bought your wheel locks from Infiniti, then they are McGard wheel locks. The package should have a code for your master key.
1. Call McGard and get a new key made for $10.49.
2. Go to tire shop and have them spin off your wheel locks.
If they aren't McGard wheel locks, see item #2.
I've used McGard wheel locks on 5 different cars and have never had a key crumble on me like you've described. I've sheared off the lug but that's it. Good luck.

sorry, i didnt make my self clear in the original post, so i just editted it alittle. the wheel lock is what completely shattered. its pretty much gone, all except the part that holds it on to the stud. and the key has just been warped.
i took it to a local shop and the guy tried to spin it off, but was not successful...
