Smile G35S Sedan Front-tires to 235/50/18

I changed the front tires on my 2007 G35S from the stock 225/50/18 to 235/50/18. I finally gave up on the Bridgestone RE50s because of their dreadful wear life (140). I still need to replace the rears and will do that sometime this summer. The new tires are Michelin Pilot Sport AS+, all season tires. They were rated #1 by TireRack and TireRack was right. I do not know how they perform in spirited driving but I expect them to perform well. The ride quality is excellent. If I loose a little stickness, I will not complain, they have 5 times the tire life of the UHP Bridgestone summer tires and they can be used during the winter.

The AS+ won't be as good in dry/aggressive driving vs. the 050's, but will wear much better and handle anything a sane street driver will do. Once they scrub in for a thousand miles or so you'll start to feel their real potential. Great tire good buy!

Hey you got some pics? I just got 225/50 18s on my 04 and I think they are hideous!! Maybe it looks better on your car. I had 235/50 18s a couple of years back. BF Goodrich from Discount Tire. Like 109.00 a piece. I was being a cheap son of a gun. Those things took forever to wear out. I was doing my best to wear them out, too. Now I got the 225/50's cause they were cheaper than the 235/40s I had. The 235/40s looked good, though. I should have gone with 225/45s, I think. I sold my self out for 13 bux. (225/50s were only 13 bux less than the cheapest 225/45s Discount Tire had) I have the 18 inch track z wheels from 2003. Anyway I was just trying to see some other setups to see how good they can look on other folks' cars. I will take some pics of mine today, too.
