Need help with wheel offset
Need help with wheel offset
Hi, I'm looking to put 20" wheels on my 04' Coupe with Brembo breaks the wheels that I'm looking at are:
Bolt pattern should be 5x114.3 Correct?
Vossen 078
Front 20x9.5
Rear 20x10.5
or
Lexani LSS-5
Front 20x8.5
Rear 20x10
What i really want is to put 255/30-20 front and 305/25-20 tires in the rear (dont know if possible), need to know the offset to be able to do this.
Thanks fo all the help as I just got the car and don't know much about wheels.

So many people out there with wheels and no one can help me out at all???
Lexani told me that my biggest tire size on the LSS-5 can be a 295 with a 38front 40 rear offset.
I have read that it should be a 25F/29R.
Please let me know what it should be.
Thanks

Ok i will chime in and comment about your first post... 305 definitely seems too wide for a 10 inch wide wheel. for instance, i have a 285 michelin ps2 on my 10 inch wide back wheel.... and it isn't even close to being stretched, it's pretty normal. so 295 would probably be a bit meaty on the LSS-5. 40 rear offset is WEAK tho and you will be super tucked. I roll on PIAA Super Rozza and my rear is 10" wide as I said, and the offset is +25, and i STILL had to put a 15mm spacer on to get closer to flush. It really depends on how low / tucked / or flush you want to be.
But take your time and think this out straight, don't rush your purchase. Give us some more info to go on.
Last, offset doesn't have much to do at all with what tire you put on. The only reason offset can affect tire size is if you want to go super aggresive offset (push wheel out toward fender) then you might have to go with a smaller "stretched" tire so you don't rub.

I agree 305 on a 10 is going to be to big. If you want to run that size tire I would say go for the 11" rims in the rear and 9.5 front. As far as offsets how flush do you want them, do you want to roll your fenders, are you dropped if so hard far...
I see that you are in Miami... Carlos of HDM can help you with your wheel fitment issues.

My G is 100% stock, if after putting the wheels I need to drop it, I would, I want to make it look nice but don't want to go crazy with the spendings, I want it to be flush enough where it doesn't stick out, if I can avoid rolling the fenders it would be best for me.
just to add to everyone's, offsets will not necessarily mean it's going to clear brembo's either. Although most manufacturer's will not have these options, some will have certain disc size to clear certain calipers. If you can, double check with the seller if he or she knows.

Whether a 305 will fit or not depends on the tire. It seems a bit big for a 10.5" wheel. The best way to check is to find the tire you want and check the manufacturer's website. They usually have a chart that give min/max rim width that the particular tire size will fit on.
