Re: Problems with Iforged

i suggest to all if you don't have a garage are you don't like detailing your car, get chrome lips at least. you don't have to get chrome centers because they are easy to clean. much easier than the lips. now with the lips if you have any scratches with polish lips you can get 2000 grit sand paper and sand it with water then come back and polish it with mothers. that will take care of the pits and scratches that you may get. i went with chrome and i'm loving it. all i have to do is get a towel after it rains and wipe them clean. nice and shiny again. it may take a while to get a chrome set up but, well worth it.

Re: Problems with Iforged

I definitely agree, get chrome lips. And damen, bro I love detailing my car. Some guys like sitting on the throne to get away from the wife & kids; I break out the Zaino. However when I wash & polish my rims and 24 hours later they look as if I haven't cleaned them in the past 24 months, I get a little upset, you know? And the worst part about it is I feel like there's no end in sight. Like the sun rising tomorrow, I know my rims are going to look like crap tomorrow.
I'll try those products listed above as well as the sandpaper. That was a real good tip, cause my rims are pitted like crazy!
So G2NV, damen's advice is gold; I wouldn't let them send them out unless the lip has been chromed.
On another note, as I was considering selling them, I was pricing out some 20" Volk GTC's and the guy I was speaking with was telling me that he's had many customers that were switching over from Iforged cause they were having similar problems. Anyone else hear the same? Different?
