What should i do now?
What should i do now?
Keep in mind my car is lowered (eibachs). Well i took my car to the dealer yesterday to get: alignment/camber, check rear brake rotors, and oil change. I just picked her up today and the dealer informed me that the rear is way out of camber spec. I asked him what he suggest i do about uneven tread wear and he said dont worry about it. that guys is retarded. i know my tires wont last over 15k mi. if i dont get this problem fixed. Now my questions are:
1. Should I get a camber kit ($700 including install about?)? If so, which one would be most cost effective and quality?
2. Are there any alternatives?
3. Does having bad camber effect anything else other than uneven tread wear? Could it be dangerous to the car?
4. What would you do if it was your car?
Guys help please. I really dont feel like putting up the money for a gay camber kit. What a waste of money. Doesnt look nice or make your car go. Is it necessary to avoid future complications!?!?! man.... im so regretting lowering my car. All this BS for a lil over 1" drop.

Re: What should i do now?
1.You might just consider the rear camber rods that run just over $200 like the kinetix or the SPC. SPC's come with toe bolts that will help you get the toe back in spec.
2. not that I can think of
3. you won't ge able to get the max traction (acceleration but also braking) out of the tires as there will be uneven pressure / contact over the width of the tread.
4. I'd spend the 200 plus another alignment job and get it back into spec.

hmmm ok. sry im still n00bish, but if i were to get just the camber rods, that solve my problem? no extra accessories? i can live with 200 plus align.

Re: What should i do now?
You can lower it a half inch with a different Eichbach spring (don't know which it is) and have fewer camber issues. PM "mamboking" and talk to him. If it were my car I'd sell them (and the heavy chrome wheels, although they look so awesome on a black G) and put my suspension back to stock, and take very good care of my tires and all suspension components.
Whatever you do, do something. A suspension out of spec is diminishing half the reason this is such an awesome car...it's handling.
