Offset question

Quick question here. If old wheel had +45mm offset and new one has +35mm does it mean that wheel will stick out more or actually be deeper inside wheel well?
Sorry if it was asked before.

Thanks.

Assuming the rim widths stayed the same, it means that your wheel will be shifted outward (toward the fender) by 10mm.

a rule of thumb is 0mm offset will be right smack in the middle.

Here...this will help you visualize the difference in offsets, widths, diameters, etc.

Wow, that's a great calculator for dummies like me. Thanks.
