Newbie Help Question

Hello All,
New to the Forum but have had a 2006 G35 Sedan since new.
It's time for new tires and was wondering what the widest tire I can put on the OEM rims (17")?
Currently running stock Goodyears (225/55/17).
The local dealer said if I change sizes it will affect the ABS and traction control.
HELP!!

I believe the stock tire size is 215/55-17. I've had 235/50-17 on mine and currently running 225/50-17 (can't find the Eagle F1 GSD3s in 235 anymore). I wouldn't go wider than 235s. Neither of these sizes ever affected the ABS or VDC on my car, your local dealer rep is just telling you what his manager told him to tell you (most likely because they want to sell you replacement tires at a ridiculous markup and they only have the stock size).
