Tuner Lugs?

Hello everyone I just bought some Muteki neo chrome sr35 tuner acorn style lugs. I was wondering how many of you guys have regular wheel locks on the wheels + the tuner lugs or do you guys just put on the tuner lugs and it's considered safe I appreciate the help and comments/reviews of these lugs

Safe? Depends what kinda wheels you have and what part of SoCal you live in.

i ran the rays aluminum lugs .. i never trusted those things .. i work on BMWs for a living and all the never BMW engines use aluminum bolts .. they have ONE time use .. you take it off, you replace it with a new one .. so every time i took my aluminum rays lugs off .. i was worried .. dont get me wrong after three years of having them taken on and off so many times .. they never came off .. so a piece of mind i bought some project kics neo chromes

so in my eyes .. all lugs are safe (aluminum, steel and titanium) as long as they are torqued properly .. without the proper torque all of them are considered UNSAFE

Thanks GluXury, What I was really inquiring about was if its considered safe in the way of just using tuner lugs w/out the wheel locks or should I use my wheel locks also with the tuner lugs assuming my wheels won't get stolen well or at least quickly lol

I don't run any locks, kinda sketchy but from where I live, nobody is going to jack wheels.

But I always wondered what to do, I guess you could get the locks painted or anodized. Not sure how you would do it for neo-chrome, I doubt many places can do that for you.

^^^..Good looking out 4DGS, I think I'm just gonna put the neo chrome's with regular wheel locks. Extra safety couldn't hurt right

I know a tonne of metal workers and polishing shops in my city I'll see if I can find one that does that kind of plating then you could just mail me your locks and I could get them done and send em back.

There's this galvanizing plant behind my work and those guys are the guys I ask about all my plating/coating etc. I'm pretty sure they do anodizing too.

What colour are the face of your mutekis? Mine are green

BTW; Calvin changed his name to C.....? Trying to get a job at MI6 maybe.
