235/45R18 to 235/50R18 tires

Hi all g35 experts,

Am planning to get 235/50R18 tires for my G35 to get more cushion, although the recommended size is 235/45R18.

I am not sure what the downside of this is. Do I have to adjust anything else when I do this?

Please advise.

Thanks,
p36

The 50 series has an inch overall larger diameter. Might throw off speedo and potential for rubbing issues. You'd be better off buying 17" wheels/tires if you're looking for more cushion.
