anyone have hankook ventus v12 evo's?

Tread on my OE Bridgestone's are just about gone and I'm looking to getting new tires. I have an 06 coupe 5AT.
My current tires are 225/40 19 on the front and 245/40 19 on the rear.
I was thinking of getting hankook ventus v12 evo's, they're considerably cheaper than the Bridgestone's and performance wise I don't think that they're that much worse.
If I do get the evo's, is there any problem in getting them in the same size as the OE tires I have now? (225/40 front 245/40 rear)
And also, is it necessary alignment done? Thanks.

there are numerous threads about this in the tire and wheel sections. I have them in larger 19" sizes and love them...except for the recent screw that has gone through one of my rears, but its not losing air yet.

I was about to get these for the same reason as you, reasonably priced, until the shop owner told me that Falken FK-452 would be a better buy based on my driving. If you're not an aggressive driver like myself, the Falkens might be for you. They're rated 300-AA-A vs Hankook's 280-AA-A so you'll get more mileage out of them.

Hankook on Tirerack plus S&H was $673.69. Falken installed was $665.

I posted this same question in the wheels and tire section recently. The responses were positive.
Like you, I wore out my OEM Bridgestones and was looking for something else.
There is a $50 rebate right now on the V12s, check the Hankook website.
I've had mine for only a few weeks and they are not louder than the OEM tires. Time will tell if I'm happy with them overall.

I am getting some Hankook Ventus V12s tomorrow, 245/45/18. Took a while for them to get here, and I am anxious to see how they do compared to the Kuhmo Ecstas I have on now.

You'll have to let me know how you like them. I'm going to replace the rears after the first of the year and I'm pretty set on the vredestein's. Curious to see how the Hankooks compare to the Kuhmos.

How does next week sound for mini-tech day? I've got a couple of things in mind.

Sorry guys, back on topic.....

I got my Hankook Ventus V12s installed last night. I haven't put many miles on yet, but already I can tell they are much quieter than my Kuhmo Ecstas that I replaced. They seem to be a softer compound, have more grip and are more aggressive, which I like, but I expect the tread life will be less. Seems like a very good performance tire so far and it's very highly rated. Hopefully they do fine in the rain as well.

Please forgive me...i think my post was lost.i manage a tire store,big-o
in huntington beach.i have hankook evo k-110 ventus v-12 on my
03' 6mt coupe........i have put dozens of g-35 drivers in these tires, and as of
yet have not heard one complaint.do yourself a favor, take my word you
wont be disapointed.as to ljn 78 there is very very little difference in
mileage between treadwear 280 & 300,besides the hankook is a superior tire

Actually you can't compare the UTOG from one maker to another. The ratings aren't consistent among different tire makers.
