Which tire size would be better for some stock 17"? Stock are 225/50/17. Will some 235/50/17's work & look good???

Neither would look good, but both will work.

What would you recommend for stock 17's on a Coupe?

The stock 17 sedan size is 215/55/17 just so you know, and 235/50 is the only one that matches the rolling diameter. I'm actually looking at getting the RE760 Pole Positions in 235/50/17 next. I have yoko v4s now in stock dimensions.

What size is on a stock Coupe with 17's? Is it the same as a sedan?

235/50/17 is almost the exact same diameter as 215/55/17, but the tire choices in that size are a lot better, go with that. Our 7" rims are a bit on the narrow end of most 235 width tires, but they're still within spec. The tire is going to stick out a little bit past the rim, but I don't mind that, personally, it makes it easier to avoid curb rash

First, stock's are not 225/50-17. That may be what was on your car, but stock size is 215/55-17 as miltoda said. The 225/50-17 is about 1.7% smaller than stock. I'm running 225/55-17's on my winter setup. It's a little larger than stock (+1.6%), but not enough to notice anywhere (speedo's only off by 1 mph at 60). That's consistent with my summer setup (245/45-18's, off by +1.4%).

I wouldn't run a 225/50-17, but I wouldn't run anything smaller than stock. If you want an interesting look, run 215/55-17's in the front and 235/50-17's in the back. Sort of a fake staggered look, a Plus 0 stagger.

Either that or buy some Coupe 18's from the Marketplace. They look awesome on the Sedan. The +30 offset is perfect.

The stock size for the Front of the Coupes is 225/50/17 The 215/55/17 is a taller tire and is not recomended for the Coupe. Our cars are so sensitive to tire widths that some small changes on tire sizes can offset the VDC. I have had 225/50/17s all around with no problems other than the speedo is off slightly. 235/50/17 all around might work as well if you have the clearance up front.

I think I'm going to go with some 235/50/17's all the way around. The car is not lowered so there shouldn't be any problems. At least I hope so...
