Shipping Rims???

I wasnt sure where to post this, if its in the wrong place sorry. I was wondering how people ship there rims (ie, when they sell them on ebay or something) do you use a box? do you leave the tires on? what about selling a set of 4 rims with tires, arent the shipping charges alot?

Re: Shipping Rims???

It's usually $25 per box. I received my old rims and paid $100 shipping. The tires were on the rims and they were inflated to 40 psi to prevent damage from occuring during shipping. They also had quite a bit of bubble wrap around them and there was even a piece of cardboard that was cut in a circle and taped over the outer face of the rim to prevent scratching.

The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!
