tire pressure question

hi everyone, i took my car in for an oil change at the dealer, they took care of that but i noticed that my cars tire pci is @ 40 and the side panel on the doors recommend 30 for front and rear
the tire size and all are correct accordingly to the sticker on the door. did the dealer mess up and over inflate the tires? or is 40 PCI what it should be?
thanks for any help.

make sure you check your tire pressure when they are cold. Follow the recommendations inside the door jamb.

is it best if i leave it overnight so that in the morning to check it? and can anyone verify that 30psi is what it has to be...?
im only asking because a while back when i had my sentra ser it had a 2.5 engine but the psi level it needed in the front was 33 and back was 30...
if im correct the g35 sedan is heavier than the sentra ser.
thanks

checking it in the morning will be fine. Look inside the door jamb on your g35 (not your sentra or your friends car, or the neighbors car) and follow those pressure recommendations.
