Wheel Track/Wheel Base

From Wiki:
Q: Whats is wheel track and wheel base?

A: wheel track is measurement taken from a wheel on one side of vehicle to the other side of vehicle

the wheel base is the distance from the vertical centre line of the front wheel to the vertical centre line of the most rear wheel

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Why mention this?... Well, I have been considering different wheel and various offsets... having flared fenders has brought a huge challenge of correct wheel fitment.

In my search there have been a couple wheel sets where the front offset actually pushed wheels farther out than rear (front track is wider than rear).

So I researched potential handling effects from having front wheels wider... Among other results, the following two links I found to be VERY interesting...

So I thought I'd share with you:

(the link above is very insightful, but gets a little complex at times and might lull you a bit... might take two reads)

also this one (it might be interesting to the "hellaflush" crowd too:

So after reviewing these and several other sources - I'm actually considering the set with front wider (too bad they are heavier than I'd like)
