I've been searching for a while trying to find some all seasons for the oem 19's in the original OEM sizes for a while. I know I know...why all seasons? Well I need tires soon, and we keep getting hammered with snow in VA this year. Michelin has the Pilot Sport A/S Plus, but they are big $$$. I just saw where Continental has their new Extreme Contact DWS tires now in our oem sizes. Prices are decent, IMO. Anybody on here try the Continental's yet?? Any input will greatly be appreciated.

 

Toyo Proxes 4's and Conti DWS's are pretty good with a wide selection of tires sizes!

 

Thnx. I've been looking at a few places - mainly TireRack since I buy a lot of tires from them. I don't think they carry Toyo's?? I don't have any experience owning either of those brands - so I wanna find someone on here who may have tried some all seasons on the 19's and get their opinions.

 

Have two in the oe sizes, the Michelin Sport AS+ and Conti DWS. The Sport is an excellent tire, but you'll have to give a lot of blood to get them. The Conti has been super popular and I've had no complaints on them.

IMHO all seasons aren't going to cut in it anywhere where you get snow on a regular basis. The only thing that's going to make a G35 coupe snow capable are dedicated snow tires.

 

^^ WHS, I did A/S tires when I first got my car almost exactly 3 years ago - mistake! Running Blizzaks now.

 

Sorry if this is thread crapping with the shameless plug..... but I have experience with both tires you talk about

first off, I have for sale a set of 19" all seasons in the OEM sizes... the fronts are the pilot sport A/S plus....the rears are Kumho Ecsta Platinum (600 treadwear)...3500 on the set, the only reason Im selling them is that I bought 20s. For the 20s, I bought the extreme contact DWS, and for the first 400 miles, i love them... quiet (especially for a 275 in the rear)

ive driven in snow with them (about 2-3 inches) and they amazed the crap outta me. Ive only had them for 400 miles thus far

the A/S pilot sports are awesome, I would have gotten them for the 20s, but the prices are too high for me

Since I don't live where we constantly get bad winters (although this one seems to be the opposite), I don't really need Blizzaks. I just want a get home tire, in case I am at work, and the shizzle hits the fan - since it is a daily driver.
Bronx - Thanks for the info, esp. on the DWS. I am really looking at those hard - esp. the price.

 

i have DWS A/S on my oem 18s and its friken awesome even in chicago winter (we are expecting upto 15 inches of snow tomorrow). Not as good as Blizzaks, but I never complain with DWS. on the other hand..my old tire pirrelli p-zero A/S...**** TIRES!

We got hit AGAIN, but only another 4" - but over 200 accidents yesterday. People can't drive around here when we do get it -too big of a friggin hurry.

 

Youll like the DWS, I suggested them to my RX8 friend based on what I was hearing about them and he told me the other day how much he loves them, especially with the recent snow we've been getting around baltimore lately. Just like what you are looking for, good enough to get home with or for the days following when the roads are still iffy.

havent had it in the snow though.... but chesterfield isnt far from where i grew up, and i know that snow is very a-typical

Baltimore has definately gotten nailed this winter - we have too, not quite as bad.
